Sig-Tec Corporation Bringing NEC Corporation of America Fingerprint Matching Technology to Its Award-Winning Access Security Software Solution

Minneapolis, MN. November, 2006 - Sig-Tec Corporation today announced that it will integrate NEC Corporation of America’s best-in-class fingerprint matching technology into Sig-Tec’s award-winning access security software solution for the convergence of logical access security and physical access security. 

The integration of NEC’s fingerprint matching technology, combined with Sig-Tec’s convergence solution, will allow organizations the flexibility to choose finger biometrics as the sole source for authenticating into the network, as well as give permission for physical access.   This solution will also enable organizations to use finger biometrics as part of a multi-factor authentication solution for more stringent authentication requirements in security sensitive industries.
